Now, after finishing THE LONGEST ESSAY IN HISTORY, I have 2 things to talk about today. One is awesome, the other... not so much.
The folk festival foy last night was made of win but it was 5 and a quarter HOURS of music, which for a big music fan like me was hard to take. Luckily, the vast majority of the acts were awesome, and without further ado, here are my favourites:
- Pokey LaFarge and the South City Three
Wonderfully flamboyant stage performers with possibly the best name ever?
- L'Angélus
Similar to Pokey in many ways, but swamp pop! And a sax solo!
- Findlay Napier and the Bar Room Mountaineers
Sorry, it's the same clip as yesterday but they really are fabulous. And really nice people! They sang a song about a stalker last night!
- Fred Morrison Trio
Now, I hate bagpipes but this guy is phenomenal. I was entertained and invigorated by his performance. (This is him without the other 2!)
- Genticorum
Quebecois folk music. That is all.
Actually I think I'm going to write about Osama tomorrow. For today - enjoy the music!
Tara x
